Establishing Service for New Construction
If you are a Contractor, Homeowner, or Lot Owner looking to establish water service for construction or residential use, you must first contact MSO Water Systems, Inc. to set up an account. When setting up an account you will pay a Tap Fee, a refundable Deposit along with the initial water charges/fees associated with that particular property/subdivision. Each time the account changes ownership, there must be a new account set up and fees paid before water is used.
Once you have set up your new account, we will issue a work order to install your service line to the well, a water meter, and meter box. MSO Water Systems, Inc. purchases the meter and box, however, it is the homeowner/lot owner’s responsibility to protect and maintain once installed. The meter and boxes are to be visible and accessible to the utility company at all times. This means any fencing or landscaping (dirt, sod, concrete, etc.) beside or around the box hindering our staff from having access to it could result in penalties being charged to you for labor to uncover, remove, or relocate the meter and box. If the meter or box is tampered with, missing, or destroyed, a new one will be installed at the homeowner/lot owner’s expense.
Anyone caught using water on a property without an account will be charged $75.00 fee along with the initial set up fees listed above and the water will be locked off and not turned back on until balance is paid in full.
MSO Water Systems, Inc. reserves the right to deny service to any new address, if a past due amount is owed on other accounts held by a homebuilder.
